KDE: problem with sound device

Description

When I start a new KDE session, there is a pop up message that appear briefly in the task bar about a sound device not working and falling back to another sound device.

Sound works but sound recording does not work on my machine, so I am interested in knowing what the message says.

The problem is that it stays up only too briefly, then disappears and I cannot bring it back up again. This is a usability bug in KDE. Where can I find a log of with this message?
