troubleshooting
If you get the following error:
The disk drive for /mount_point is not ready yet or not present.
Continue to wait; or Press S to skip mounting or M for manual recovery
it basically mean that the system cannot mount the specified drive at the mount point /mount_point.
If the mount point is root / , then the system cannot be booted at all. There are many posts on the internet discussing this problem.
If it is another mount point, check the /etc/fstab for the corresponding entry. Upon booting, the system will try to boot all the entries that are marked for automatic mounting. If the partition has been removed or its UUID altered, it will cause the above error. Edit /etc/fstab accordingly.
