Note plasmoid: new content lost when editing... nothing!

1)
Add a 'Notes' widget on the desktop.
Type some text in the Notes widget.
Press on the wrench to edit the settings.
Press OK without actually changing any settings.
=> the text disappears.

2)
Add a 'Notes' widget on the desktop.
Type some text in the Notes widget.
Press on the wrench to edit the settings.
Change settings.
Press OK.
=> everything works as expected.

3)
Now repeat the first procedure thus:
Type some more text in the Notes widget.
Press on the wrench to edit the settings.
Press OK without actually changing any settings.
=> the extra text disappears; we are back to the earlier text.
