Consider the output of the following command:

#  dpkg --list | grep ipta
ii  iptables                         1.4.12-1ubuntu4              administration tools for packet filtering and NAT
iF  iptables-persistent              0.5.3ubuntu2                 boot-time loader for iptables rules
ii  whiptail                         0.52.11-2ubuntu10            Displays user-friendly dialog boxes from shell scripts

I have not found in the manpage the documentation of the meaning of the flags ii and iF.
